Manchester is a city that is brimming with coffee shops of all styles.
From quaint and girly, to quirky and hip, no matter where you prefer to sit and sip, there will be somewhere for you.
During a weekend trip to Manchester, I visited as many coffee shops as I could manage (Yes, I am a coffee shop addict) and I can safely say that Home Sweet Home was the one that truly amazed me.
In the city there are two different locations for Home Sweet Home, one in the Great Northern Square and one in the Northern Quarter. I visited the latter.
The first thing you see when you walk in? Cake. I don’t just mean a traditional Victoria sponge, I’m talking about the most jaw dropping, over the top, colourful cakes you have ever seen.
Once I had calmed down from the sight of the cakes, I was greeted by friendly staff, the buzz of customers chatting away and the smell of rich coffee.
The menu was also impressive. Trying to be healthy? There are plenty of salads and sandwiches or you can go all out with their monster milkshakes and pancakes.
As per usual, I ordered a flat white which was beautifully poured and tasted just right.
If you get the chance to try Home Sweet Home, make sure you leave room for cake as it is out of this world!
Have any of you tried any other coffee shops in Manchester?
